Open The Gate Sound

Gut zu wissen

A pioneering force in UK dub, Dennis Bovell reinterprets the seismic sound of King Tubby, curating an all-star line up for a celebration of Jamaican music and culture.A monumental figure in modern music, Tubby is the reason producers today think they’re artists – because he proved they could be. Without him, there is no remix culture, no dub, no concept of the studio as an instrument.Open The Gate Sound set the tone with deep reggae selections before Bovell applies his unmistakable low-end science to Tubby’s iconic catalogue – a heartfelt salute to a true innovator. This event is not in association with King Tubby.Enjoy a view overlooking the stage from our mezzanine restaurant.CLICK HERE to see a detailed seat map of the restaurant.
